Not exactly sure what you're asking.
I only have one set of armor. I do have four shields, six hammers,
eight each swords and axes though. Oh.. and five bows which I
don't use, just can't part with them.
I just spread stuff out between my six character and make sacrifices
when I have to if space gets low.

I mean, to improve your ability with a sword for example, putting a superior rune of swordsmanship (or even a minor one) in the arm part. Say for example:
Head: sup abs
Chest: sup vigor
Arm: sup weapon (any of the 3)
Legs: minor tactics
Feet: minor str

It's kinda hard to think up of a pattern to use runes and stay inside your FoW armor without having to switch any pieces (say you wanna go farming trolls with glad defense, you probably want 16 tactics so you'd switch helms or something).

I'd like to know how FoW armor Warriors manage themselves that way =p

Go with W/R or R/W

I think that will be the most versatile for you considering what you have said about some of the classes.

We switch our helms. Choose a weapon you use the most and get the helm for that one, as well as putting the corresponding weapon rune it. Then you have other sweet looking helms (like the Kurzick) that have the other ones you want to switch with. Then you work at getting more FoW helms to switch out with or gaunlets so you can have stonskin as well as glads or whatever else you use. Then you continue to try to get more FoW armor that you can switch out for other situations, until you have so many sets that you have 2 character slots just for your armor. Ah the perks of being a warrior...

>_<

Ah, I see...

It's a little disturbing to think of the amount of ectos and shards to make a full working set but uh... I guess I could live with that.

I've almost decided on the Warrior for the variety of weapons involved (shooting a bow all day long might get boring), but I keep staring at my Ranger too.

Thanks everyone, I'll try to come up with a decision soon. I really appreciated every post on this thread =)

(You only want us down because you know we stand higher)
I'm actually on Ritual Lord Strike ... No More Rit Lord !, No More Rit Lord ! Boooo! ahem ...what are we talking about again?

Thanks for reminding me, sometimes my head just wanders off and I forget about all the options X.x

What I'm mostly concerned about is durability in the battlefield when soloing. Rangers often seem to me a little too squishy when compared to Warriors. But I can't determine to what extent that's true >.<!

If you are only going to have one character and want to play it into the ground, warrior is the only way to go.

well, I've been playing Ranger & Warrior a lot, maybe they just fit together. Maybe because Ranger is an excellent choise when fighting with henchmen. Using interrupts, you can interrupt the spells that frequently kill your henchmen (mostly high-damage spells, mesmers & monks) without losing any attack power. Same is for Mesmer actually, I've gotten very far with henches playing as mesmer, I even made Hell's Precipice with it (a bit of lucky when facing rurik, as he was stuck between two henchwarriors just as he wanted to walk back with the fist of the titans ). Ranger just is very much different things and that's why it's fun for me, I crossed Cantha with my ranger in no-time using different running skills, solo-farming in maguuma jungle with sword & shield on totem axes, interrupting in arena's, soloing fow & many more. Warrior has much different stuff to do too, droknar runs are good profit and there's plenty options of solo farming. Now, warriors are pretty often picked & missions & fow/uw as tanks, in pvp you're having kinda a struggle for a place, unless youre playing iway ofcourse, but thats still iway... Rangers are kinda facing the same problem, though with the rising popularity of choking gas rangers in heroes ascent you have a bit higher chance of finding a nice balanced group. Rangers also dont have the solo capabilities of solo warriors, because the warrior can increase armor by 50-60 or use stances to evade/block, so you can pick either of these depending on the situation. Ranger on the other hand, have only evasive/blocking stances.

so,
great soloing/farming = warrior
do really all kinds of stuff = ranger

my 2 cents bout war & ranger

Hmm I don't really get the reason for the Warrior choice on Ensign's post, but your opinion counts as a valuable one =)

Supreme Commander's as well, thanks for the insight, you actually cleared a lot of my doubts regarding the two classes =)

Really bending towards being a Warrior now o.o
